Solid FOOT warm up exercises are fundamental to your overall workout experience in the H2O💧And, although it’s tempting to jump right into the pool and just start, there are so many GOOD reasons to spend time warming up with dynamic stretches before taking the plunge! You may have the basics down, but are you ready for a warm up CHALLENGE?  Try these toe/foot exercises and leave us a comment below👇

Here’s what WE do and why‼️.

Hurts bad but feels good? Thought so 🙂.
.
👉 Toe Lifts -lift each toe one at a time by standing tall with your knees slightly bent. Concentrate on lifting one toe at a time (start with big toes only!), first on your right then your left. Repeat for three sets (each foot). **Note: all work should come from the foot and not the knees! No help from knees please..
.
👉 Point, Flex & Circles—right leg out in front, point toes, then flex foot, repeat 10x, rotate the ankle clockwise 10x, then counterclockwise 10x; switch legs and repeat..
.
👉 Golf Ball Rolls -Yep, we actually bring golf balls to the pool! Check it out: Place a golf ball — or another hard, small ball — on the floor next to the feet. Lay one foot on the ball and move it around, pressing down as hard as is comfortable. The ball should be massaging the bottom of the foot (60-90 sec); then repeat on the other foot. **Note: a frozen bottle of water can be a soothing alternative if no suitable balls are available!.

👉 Toe Taps -Alternate tapping your toes and try to raise your toes as high and FAST as you can without lifting your heels. Make this exercise a little more difficult by placing your hands on top of your knees and applying pressure. Perform two sets (20 to 25 reps) per foot.

👉 Perform 5-10 minutes of gentle cardio exercises, and also incorporate dynamic stretches. .
👉 Start by doing Arm Circles to increase blood flow to the structures around the joints.
👉 Improves coordination and reaction times, which allows you to work out longer and harder.
